Minira was born in Japan in 2016, but was imported to America from Hungary in early 2017 by Claire Matthews.

She is the first Sesame Hokkaido outside Japan, and will be the start of sesame lines in the USA. She is also CEA clear, which will be used not only to reduce affected or carrier puppies in the next generation, but to also bring more opportunity to increase diversity and preserve lines that might otherwise be lost due to risk of CEA affected pups. She is AKC FSS, UKC, and DOKENHO registered.
